Silos at Sheepdrove

Who’s up for a staycation in an old grain bin?

Work began late last year on upcycling two former agricultural storage units into eco-friendly farm stays.

These two tall towers were used to store grain but we were given the green light to grant them new lease of life and convert the silos into quirky self-catering accommodation. Our existing onsite guest accommodation – Woodend Lodge, the Boathouse and Nutwood Lodge – were also eco conversions of existing structures.

These two new farm stays will be heated by the ground source heat pump that powers the heating in the green building that hosts weddings, funerals and corporate events.

The silos will have the minimalist feel of tiny homes but with some lovely curves, interesting vertical space and gorgeous views over the beautiful North Wessex Downs.

The silo conversion was masterminded by local architect and designer Giles Cadle with the works undertaken by LamburnGeekie, a small Oxfordshire based building company who are managing and running the project

Get in touch if you’d like to know more or be notified when the silos are available to book.
