Sustainable Transport

As a business, we aim to minimise our environmental impact and pursue sustainable solutions, considering the environment in terms of transport and travel, our buildings, energy and climate, and natural resources.

There is no public transport from Lambourn to Sheepdrove due to our farm’s rural location high up on the Lambourn Downs in the Berkshire/Oxfordshire countryside. It is three miles from the village to the farm and events venue but there is no proper public footpath; however, Sheepdrove has contributed towards safe active routes for hiking and biking through opening up permissive paths around the farm. Respect for the environment is integral to our responsible business commitments so we have compiled and offer a comprehensive list of available transport options including greener travel choices –

By Hike and by Bike

We have created a choice of safe active travel routes to Sheepdrove from Lambourn in the hope that car journeys to the farm can be replaced with more sustainable forms of travel, such as walking and cycling, which are proven to benefit health and levels of physical fitness while reducing the consumption of fossil fuels and consequent carbon emissions. There are plenty of places to secure bikes and we can store bikes on request.
