Sheepdrove’s events venue and farm office building is operationally net zero carbon. All electricity used is from renewable sources, provided by exclusively green and renewable only energy suppliers and our own solar and wind installations.
Heating is entirely powered by renewable electricity with a ground source heating system that harvests energy from the earth.
Abundant natural light throughout the interior combined with energy efficient LED lights further reduces energy use.
Cooling is provided by a natural ventilation (rather mechanical or forced ventilation such as air-conditioning systems and fans) to deliver further energy efficiency gains.
All this means that corporate, wedding and event guests and office tenants have access to event and office space that are net zero.
And if you stay on site? Our ecolodge Woodend has an electric boiler powered by renewable electricity; the off-grid Boathouse is heated by an air source heat pump. Both farm stays have energy efficient lighting.
