Seeing is believing, and thousands of people have been inspired by Sheepdrove Organic Farm and Sheepdrove Eco Conference Centre over the years, whether at our Open Day events or with an organised group booking.
Our well-known Farm Tours are popular with everyone from community groups to conference organisers. Tours fit well into a day’s activity and refresh the delegates with an outdoor experience. Tours are also great for educational groups because we can tailor it to cover the topics that you want to explore.
Sheepdrove has its own purpose-built passenger trailers, roofed to shelter you from rain and fitted with comfortable seating. Wrap up warm, and look out for Skylarks and Red Kites as you discover Sheepdrove and the Berkshire Downs landscape!
We often host awareness days, workshops, and training courses, for a wide range of groups, and not just those interested in the organic sector. We have welcomed cooks, architects, gardeners, supermarket buyers, overseas retailers, the Environment Agency, Defra and many others.
It’s not only agriculture students who come here, we can help students of many subjects to grasp countryside-related issues. Sheepdrove has hosted educational visits for courses such as Business Studies, Applied Sciences, and Geography. PhD students and MSc students are welcome to focus their projects on Sheepdrove, especially those related to organic production, sustainability or biodiversity.
With all our research we work closely with Elm Farm Research Centre, so please contact them at http://www.efrc.com or call our farm office on 01488 674700 to discuss ideas.
While we develop our new farm education service for schools, we are gathering a list of those schools who wish to come here in future. Simply go to the contact us page to tell us you are interested.
